In spirit of the deadline for perspective JETs for 2010, I thought I would make a video series about my job as a JET ALT. It was very difficult to fit my primary job into one video so I had to make it a series. It will be three videos and I will try to get them up in close succession. I hope you enjoy them and like knowing about my job!

Ganbatte to all the new applicants! ^-^

  • so is this for teaching or just like tryin to live and get a regular job in japa.

  • @bigbagsofmoney1 These were particularly for teaching on the JET Program. My particular experience. It was unique even for the JET program.

  • I don't think you ever told us what the phrase was that you always use in JET and is the "epitome" of your position lol. I kept waiting for it, but you didn't say it.

  • it is around 00:50 - 00:54. The phrase "Every Situation is Different" or ESID as it is often cleverly put is a phrase that is widely used in the JET Program and is entirely true. And my situation is much different from the idea I head in my head from hearing about myargonauts' experiences. Totally. ^-^

Thanks for the comment! I am sorry I wasn't clearer!!

  • nice to hear about your job!

My friend is an ALT in Akita!! He probably started working about the same time as you.

  • That is awesome! There were many ALTs who started around the same time I did. Close to 2000 JET ALTs alone I think. Insane number over such a small country ^-^

    Thanks for commenting!

  • interesting vid - you truly do have a unique set-up.

BTW - they way you don't put an "s" on JET or ALT when you're speaking about a group is freaking me out. :P
