Field test of the Walther P22 45-round high capacity drum magazine from SpentBrass.com. This clip shows a P22 with a 3.4 inch barrel and no pressure booster. There are no feed or ejections failures because the ammunition being used is CCI mini-mags with 40-grain solid lead (the P22 loves this stuff).

An adapter and pressure booster should be used for reliable performance with lower velocity/quality ammunition. Once the booster is attached, Federal bulk and other lower grade types of ammunition will cycle without a problem from the normal magazine or the 45-round drum.

LOL - Everyone has an opinion, even if it's ripe with contradictions. Well, I'm not sure what/who you're referring to when you say "em." But we like to hit targets as many times as we can per magazine. What or who the heck are you shooting at?!

A 20-round stick magazine? I thought you only needed "the first 10 round to hit "em?"

The 45 magazine is secure in the pistol. It'd be pretty tough to break something unless you handle firearms like a toddler does toys – never a good thing, not at all.

Yup - you pay for what you get. Solid machined aluminum construction, quality all-metal parts and a factory magazine tower to ensure reliability doesn't come cheap. Look at the bright side, I'm sure someone will manufacture a plastic piece of junk soon that you'll be able to buy at Cabelas for $50.
