@worlebird godamn never thought i id meet someone intelligent on youtube :)

@whywhatwhenwherewow I think the band know their own lyrics. It's 'meo', this song is a song of praise to oneself.

THIS EXPLAINS ME! I FIGHT FOR WHAT I DON'T HAVE TO. I DO WHAT I DON'T NEED TO
-
@NCISMentalisTFormers Yes. The band as a whole is from Chicago/land.

"Gloria in Excelsis Deo"...not meo. Someone already pointed out the fact that you spelled deity wrong, and capitalize Deo for certain (it's "God"), the whole thing means "Glory to God in the Highest" and is the reason for the title Suburban Doxology...a Doxology being a work to lift up God.

@whywhatwhenwherewow Um, no, the song is definitely "in Excelsis meo". It's a bit of a pun. "Gloria in Excelsis Deo" would mean "Glory to God in the highest," but that's not what they're singing. ""Gloria in Excelsis meo" would be "Glory to me in the highest". It fits the point of the song - or did you not listen to any of the other lyrics? A doxology is a hymn of praise. This happens to be a hymn of praise to oneself, not to god.
