I had a strange dream that Michelangelo had buried parchments in the plasterwork and then drew the pointing hands and fingers to show where he had placed them. It was a strange dream indeed.

You have to been there to know. I saw my favorite art piece the first time in my life and was a bit dissapointed. It was too dark to see it fully. And I couldn't take pictures. But no matter, it was the thrill of having seen it in real. My favorite artist with God, Picasso, Da Vinci and Kandinsky -__-

I absolutely love Verdi and I love Pavarotti, but the music accompanying this Renaissance work of art should have been either early music or Italian baroque music. Be aware that when Verdi died in 1901 several hundred years of Italian music had already been composed. You could just as easily have accompanied the video with music by Carlo Forlivesi, Graziella Concas, or Nicola Campogrande.

It's not just because the tv company own the rights: it's also because flash photography damages the frescos. I was inside the Sistine Chapel just last week and I was disgusted by the number of people using flash photography in there.
