If your computer is experiencing any of the problems that are seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBEEojCyWgQ (blue screen, freezing, restarting, not starting, and etc.)

Directions:
Remove the lid on the bottom of your laptop. Then remove on the RAM modules, and close the lid; turn your laptop on to see if it now functions properly. If this has no effect on it, put back in the RAM module, and remove the other one. Test it again to see if it now works. If it still does not work, then your problem might be a software (not a hardware) problem.

Remember to wash your hands before doing this and be gentle with the technology inside your computer.

You also might notice that the computer runs slower with only one RAM module. I would recommend you order another RAM module. However, I do not think using just one RAM module affects your lap top negatively.

NOTE: I did not figure this out by myself; a friend (who would like to remain anonymous) recommended I try this.

  • Would you do barebones? I don't even know how to assemble one and I am about to purchase a new PC, to replace the old 10 GB computer (Please don't laugh for the lack of memory I have) as the hard drive is going slow and cannot add another program, plus the You Tube videos are freezing on me!

  • I don't think it's too hard to assemble a computer... I did it a few times in high school. But really, I know nothing about computers.

Good luck with your new computer.

  • I am happy to see your laptop is running again.

  • Thanks, me too! :)

  • Hmm what would ram have anything to do with it?

  • I have no idea, I just did what was recommended to me. Anyone else out there have any ideas?
