  • What would you say to someone who said that Wolverine is evil because he has claws and he takes out people during combat? I just wanna know because part of me has even felt that at times, and I really wan't sure what the answer was.

  • I'm gonna quote Stan Lee right now:

"Superheroes don't kill people! They save people!"

  • Not so, kuru. I'd say the Sentry is great in concept. The mere concept of the void makes countless stories possible, but noone seems to want to use them.

For instance...why is Sentry even here when they could take a synonym for sentry and just give the void a costume. He can change his appearance I assume.

Ok ok, enough of be being a fan writer.

  • He kills people he sides with stormin norman is there a bigger threat on marvel earth right now? Why would anyone in marvel u be ok with someone that powerful being that nuts? The illuminati should have launched him into space, He needs to go back to comic book limbo asap!

  • The sentry was a piece of crap character from the start The gimmick was dumb and an insult to readers, And why would marvel need this character?

Lets takes superman give him schizophrenia and retro con him into everything

    boy what fun!

  • I completely agree. I think there is a lot of untapped potential with this character. True, he is overpowered but that is balanced by his mental instability, but that doesn't mean that he has to be completely fucking retarded as Bendis would have you believe. If used properly, there is potential to tell some very interesting and epic stories using this complex character who, for some reason has been way over-simplified.

  • Well, because if Sentry wasn't in baby brain land, they'd have to actually think as to why Sentry was A; here, B; not cleaning house, C; not tracking capes to find friends worth hanging out with, etc and so on.

  • I certainly do. They take away a portion of your life. Of who you are, what you knew, etc and so forth. At that point why do the people they are saving even need a brain.

  • I know I'm in the minority here, but I like the idea of the Sentry, but he has just been TERRIBLY handled by Bendis.

Jenkins (in the "Sentry 6 issue mini from a few years back) basically put to bed the entire "Schitzo" thing when Sentry exercised the Void (Robert) from his mind and body and hurled him into the Sun.

But Bendis, I don't know, he like the Sentry to be a damaged character. Not just damaged but completely broken!

  • Exactly.

Plus he's entirely the wrong type of character for the marvel universe as he's overpowered.
