@EmbraceLife89 Hey I am only 19 but i have a 75 camper these bus's are easy to keep up,learn how to work on them and it will be really cost effective. Taking them to shop's is really unnecessary they are as simple as they get,heck right now i am almost done rebuilding my engine.

Love this car. I am 22 and it has always been a dream of mine to own one. My aunt used to have one until sadly my cousin got in a car accident and totaled it. I hopefully will get one someday. I have a question.
Does it run smooth, Do you have to take it in often?

@orchidkombi awesome! I love hearing about people preserving these oldie but goodies. i have a 1974 non-westy bus that I keep in storage to protect it from the horrendous heat and rain down here in south louisiana. You can see it in my other videos--it's orange.

@compukenny the motor is a 2.0 liter type 4. they are very reliable, but a bit harder to deal with when things go wrong.

@maximadog yes, me my wife and both my son and daughter. my daughter sleeps in her bed at night surrounded by various stuffed herbie the love bugs.. :-)

why oh why did i watch this....brings back memories of my dad and i working on vws when i was still in diapers up to about 8 years ago...over 40 years (for me)....he loves them - i hate them - all but the beatle convertible....there isn't much we didn't put them through or do to them (including sand and street buggies)...as well as a move from s.cal to texas in one very similar to pickles...thanks for the nitemares - lol j/k - nice restore job....
