This is Esky King1-Tandem, custom-made from 2 king1 kits. I finally convert the pod-n-boom to sports-scale "SeaKnight CH-46" by putting a Walkera 38 Fuselage on it. I made the fuselage detachable by using super-strong magnets to hold the 2 halves. The twin motors shaft-drive system handles the extra weight nicely. Enjoy!

  • how big? in mm

  • Fuselage is 580mm long, tandem is spinning 4x 190mm-blades, so it looks much bigger than a trex 450 in the air.

  • Hi terence79chan !! Very good work with this heli !! I'm thinking to do a tandem king 2, with dual motor too. So, my question is how do you synchronize both heads ? Is there a belt between them ? How can you be sure that front and rear blades don't crash one to other ? Thanks in advance !!

  • The King1s I'm using have a torque tube between them. Because of the short blades, both the rotors run a very high rpm, I'm not sure whether the King2 belt will slip under such circumstances. I did a dry-run (in my other video) to test whether the torque tube can hold up, you should do the same test for the belt. Please keep us posted of your results. King1 kits are very rare now so it will be great if we could use the King2 and King3 for this project.

  • Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs! You deserve a medal for engineering this little beauty. I have the Walkera version and it doesn't have anything like the spritely performance this has. 5 stars.

  • Thank you for rating : ) It is definitely one of my favorite RC helicopters...it always brings back lots of fond memories whenever I look at it. I merely put together the heli and came up with the dual motors concept. the medal should go to the team at Tech-MP.. this thing won't fly this smoothly if not for their excellent TH2 mixer board which really is the 'brain' for the complex controls to the 2 eCCPM rotor heads.
