  • HA HA, and this is the guy iam listening to right now commentating on tv on how bad the players are performing.

  • Along with John Virgo,Willie Thorne was the biggest bottler of all time. How appropriate that the two of them regularly commentate together and criticise other players for playing a bad shot.

  • @Superhands89 i done the same thing when i played te england cap, l;ee kendall was 6-5 up got down to pot black to win 7-5 and touch his ball with my finger, lost 7-6. felt ill

  • Definitely not "top drawer".

  • @Mirren81... i awlays wondered why willie thorne occasionaly mentions the "dreaded" blue ball during commentary

  • that's whai Steve Davis was the best ....:P

  • Davis ended up winning, it was the UK Final

the shot haunted Willie for years

  • who ended up winning the match

  • Nobody's perfect, we all make mistakes like this from time to time. I remember I was playing a pool comp a few years ago, in the final, a few easy balls to pot and I would have won the tournament. I had to bridge over another ball... a slight twitch because of nerves and I touched the ball I was bridging over, foul was called and I had to sit and watch my opponent clear the table and win the match. I'm still kicking myself over it!

  • @t0v3 Virgo is a twat

  • @englishman1960 I think we can agree that Jimmy White is the biggest bottler of all time, 6 WC finals and all defeats. Its a shame cos he was an awesome player, a crowd pleaser, and a super nice guy. I think everybody loved his image, the jack the lad lifestyle of hardcore drinking/socialising, made Jimmy the coolest guy on circuit, and probably why he was so popular. Jimmy is a legend, he was just very unlucky and suffered badly from nerves in big games. Awesome guy!
