Short appearance on national current affairs show, Today Tonight from Australia. The story, presented by Jonathan Creek looks at Trapster. I explain the tech while a motoring expert and the police share their views.
@sim0an So true mate.. I am the same.. Legally engineered car and always get pulled aside by the one highway patrol officer to try and defect me. I use this to get around these douche bag cops that always give me attitude.
Obviously not everyone has Trapster, or a smart phone, so clearly not every point where the police are will be submitted. I can't believe they tested it and then said that comment. Idiots. Trapster is a great app, and more people need to use it!
I have a modified (legal) car - If I didnt get picked on by Police because my car has an aftermarket exhaust or because it is lowered I wouldnt have any need to avoid the checkpoint areas.
(PS. Sorry for the 3 posts.. it wouldn't let me post it all together)
If youre not breaking the law in the first place you dont need an application like Trapster That comment annoys me. I have had Trapster installed on my iPhone since Sept 2009. I very rarely speed (believe me or not) and I try to drive safely and obey the road rules. I also dont drink alcohol (or take drugs for that matter) whatsoever therefore I am not attempting to avoiding being caught for drink/drug driving.
It might not be illegal but its immoral Ha!! Immoral is them revenue raising. The point of speed cameras is to stop people speeding.. I wont be speeding if I know its there so, clearly, its serving its purpose? What is the difference between that and the fixed speed cameras? I understand about the RBT alert but Trapster doesnt specifically announce that there is a RBT but that there is a Police Checkpoint.
GET IT.. IT'S FREE. The more we have the better!
