My friend has a Pitbull and at first I was slightly worried about visiting because of all the stupid media bullcrap, plus the dog is very intimidating looking. But that dog was just as affectinate as my Labrador to strangers and just as sweet, although quite a bit stronger. They are great dogs when given the right amount of time and training and can be just as good as any other breed, the only problem is people's ignorance. I plan to adopt one when I'm older. They just need RESPONSIBLE owners!

She is completely right. There are no bad animals and once a person labels one dog breed as bad it begins to condemn them all. An animal will learn to survive in its environment, if its raised will love it will be loyal and affectinate back because it doesn't have the need to fight for survival. Pits only get a bad rap because they were bred to be agressive toward animals unless properly socialized upon where they can do just fine.
