Tahoe Masticator, Part 2

The equipment is impressive. (Part 1) The Masticator grasps the bottom of tree in a fist-like fashion, cuts the tree 6 inches from the ground, and does a controlled drop (some of these trees are 100 feet high and 6 feet in diameter). (Part 2) It then grabs the base of the tree and holding it parallel to the ground and using 2 metal rotating wheels the "fist" runs up the tree, cutting off the branches along at the way. At the 16' point the "fist" measures the diameter of the tree; if it is greater than 8" the bottom half is cut off and will end up at the mill for timber. If the diameter at that point is less than 8" the fist will move another 4' (20' in total) and the bottom portion is cut off and will end up at the mill for chipping into partical board and such.

This machine really appeals to the tonka toy lover.
