Track #11 from 'Chronicles Of The Waking Dream' (2009)

by Australian Prog-metal band Arcane.

Support them by purchasing now from iTunes, or ordering the CD from www.arcaneaustralia.com - definitely a worthwhile purchase for any prog fan!

  • @eponaepona Really? Where do you live?

You could always get it from iTunes. You don't get all the pretty artwork that comes with an actual CD, but it's infinitely better quality than anything you'll get off the web.

As for other bands, I haven't discovered any really good prog recently, but I'm digging Katatonia's new album 'Night is the New Day'.

Also came across the Japanese band Exist + Trace a while back, who are really awesome.

    How about you?

  • Actually, I am trying (desperately) to get to any of the two albums! My country is not listed on PayPal and I can only look at the wonderful package offer the band has made on their website.... Amazon is out of stock for Chronicles, Ashes not to mention. That's pure underground.

I am still hoping to buy both albums somehow using credit card... :((

So what other bands have you discovered?

  • @eponaepona I read their name in a local music press magazine about a month before Chronicles was released, and checked out there myspace. At that point they only had The Seer and The Malice streaming, but I fell in love with them. I must have listened to those two songs about a hundred times while waiting for the actual album to come out.

    Have you also got Ashes?

  • When I have time (changing status over the year.. depending on the volume of work I got... ) I am dedicating some of it to prog, digging up new interesting names. I think I saw Arcane on one of those sites when the album was just out. I sent the link to a group of prog fans on a local forum ...

...that's how the worship started :)

    How about you?

  • @eponaepona Out of curiosity, how did you hear of them?

  • Thank you that's the missing song... Arcane are surely the "gold fish" of today's prog scene. I bet they will be bigger than PT and POS :)))
