I recently got to meet Dr. Anton Armstrong when my choir went to New York this past week and were honored to be a part of the Nation Youth Chior that sang at Carnegie Hall. He was an amazing conductor!

We're doing this for our All State Choir in Feb. I hope it's as good as this!! :D

this song really takes me right back to the fields.... the visuals in my head are so vivid while listening to this performance!

The tempo reminds me of slaves who were singing on the way back from a long day in the fields. I love this song and this performance. My partner always raves about St. Olaf's music program. Blacknyx and Clair you might like the performance on my page - it's the university of miami singing the same song!

I love this song! I think the tempo is good - it reminds me of slaves coming back at the end of a hard day at work.... St. Olaf has an awesome music program from what I understand... Check out Univ of Miami singing this same song on my page! Blacknyx19 and Clair.. might like it a little better???

@averydagirl yeah... does your school travel the world annually, with a world renowned conductor? Didn't think so.
-
Hahahaha your school was better. HA

the pianist is the ish however this (as a whole) is boring.
Better than St. Olaf?
I laugh at you.

Are you serious?!? This is one of the best choirs in the world. I'm sure you performed it well, but to say that your choir is better than St Olaf is next to blasphemy.
