  • Why didn't they listen to her?

  • @will892 I think the 11 people in the chamber did. Unfortunately the 600-odd others weren't there.

  • @delriogw That's Tom Watson MP. He was anti-the bill, too, and was probably Tweeting.

  • also she seems to understand something that a lot don't - by sharing stuff you increase interest, it's no different to when we used to make a cassette of a few songs for our mates and gave it to them to listen to - and then they'd go out and buy the album cos we'd introduced them to a new artist.

i've also downloaded songs to see if i like it before buying the album (though less necessary now with things like spotify) and the same with games - a lot can't be bothered with demos anymore

  • Thank you for posting this, outstanding speech!

  • Outstanding speech.

  • She almost makes me want to move to Slough!

  • Awesome! What parliament is meant for!

  • Awesome. Pity my MP shamed himself, despite me writing to him twice and calling to ask why I couldn't see him in the debate.

  • Wow, fair play Ms MacTaggart, great speech. Thanks Rhodri for posting this.
