how to build a carpet mill / dog treadmill

This is a walk through of how i made a dog carpet mill. this was a quick build and used cinder blocks for legs. Very easy to put legs on this, just didnt do it. You can also put plywood on both sides of the mill (like blinders for horses) to keep down on distractions. its not the best carpet mill, but... it gets the job done.

@4240880 Thanks! Yes, thats all its for. The wax is just to allow the carpet to have less friction with the wood it slides on.

thank you so much for posting this video! i have been running my dog on a regular human treadmill for quite some time but it is too short for my dog to get a full speed run on it. and now i feel much more comfortable making him a custom treadmill so he can get a proper run cuz sure as hell i cant keep up with him hahaha

I found laminate flooring works well mate and skateboard wheels at the end of the rollers.

Hey, great video, I've been looking for an inexpensive way to train my pits and min pin in the winter (damn cold up here in Canada!!) I was thinking instead of wax just glueing a crazy carpet or thin plexiglass to the top board, might be less trouble. The rollers were my biggest problem, but you solved that one for me! Thanks for the ideas!!
