Along with John 3:16 and 2Peter 3:9, 1Timothy 2:4 is a favorite Arminian proof text. But, did Paul intend to tell Timothy that God's desire was to save "all men" -- each and every man who ever lived? That's the subject of this video from Pastor Jim McClarty.
I noticed no one offered any real counter exegesis. Well done Pastor.

furthermore, God IS love. Love conquers all evil. Love prevails. Love cannot fail. The Love of God for ALL His creation that is in a fallen corrupted state CANNOT FAIL. God's LOVE is not selective. He is no respector of persons. While we were YET SINNERS Christ DIED for us. He loves ALL people, desires to SAVE ALL people and WILL SAVE all people.. God want to, can and will.

The fall of Adam&our bondage to sin&death has no ETERNAL POWER OVER Gods redemptive work through His only begotten Son Jesus which DESTROYED the POWER of sin &death 4ALL. The elect now, &the rest in the ages to come. I do NOT believe the bondage(LAW) of sin & death is UNABLE to be destroyed by Jesus Christs redemptive work &to believe sin&death remain UNbreakable is believing in aGod NOT ALL powerful, equated to man being able to accomplish only some things but not ALL things.

@hensleyministries So what is meant by pleasure in this text? Is it a specific type of pleasure being spoken of? what is the context? Does it this matter 2 U? It is amazing how God is frustrated in free will theology, Doing what doesn't please Him¬ doing what does, all because man's will wont let Him B happy. What about Duet.28:63? God has no wicked or sadist pleasure in the death itself, but He does take pleasure in the demonstration of His Justice & power,&all that He does do pleases Him

@hensleyministries God said "pas" but as Mcclarty poitned out, pas has many meanings. Pointing out the fact (not opinion) that pas means different things is nothing less than honest exegesis and study.

@hensleyministries.... I have honestly never understood how God not taking pleasure in the death of the wicked had any bearing on Him wanting everyone to be saved.. I don't take pleasure in taking out the trash, yet I don't dislike taking out the trash either to avoid the stench. The verse only says He doesn't take pleasure. There are many necessities I don't take pleasure in, yet I don't dislike performing them either. We can't go beyond what is written. You know what assumption does to us!!
