To all the guys worrying about going bald: I've been struggling with it for the past two years, when my hair had already gotten thinner, but that's when I started to grow a bald spot (on the crown, that's probably the worst type to have). I'm now 24 and decided to just completely shave my head with clippers. It takes some getting used to, but I've even started to get compliments on it. Moral of the story: yeah sure, it's no fun... but it's not as bad as you make yourself believe it is.

@triniman2408 it falls out gradually, creating a thinning appearance that gets progressively worse. My hair started thinning when I was about 16, I am 24 now and although I still have hair, it's much thinner and I wont allow what's left to grow much more than half an inch or it just looks silly. Either this summer or next, the clippers will be coming out and I will go to a grade 0 all over, time to embrace it!

im 22 and going bald, i say in a year or 2, it will be fully gone, very depressed over it and started drinking, cant get the money for a transplant and that will be my goal in life, even if i have to rob a bank

You guys I feel really bad for you. Most women don't think that much about it. It's not a big deal to most of us. I mean you are who you are: bald head and ALL. the ALL is a lot bigger than the hair (super lower case). You express a gene for hair loss earlier than some, that's all. It's not a measure of your virility. I will say I dont miss Brooklyn

There actually is some evidence that male baldness is a sign of virility since early male balding is believed to be related to higher than normal testosterone levels.
