@tboice The gods and goddesses are a whole different religion. The reason why Catholocism is very similar to the Orthodox Church is because they both came from the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. While Catholicism branched off, Orthodoxy stayed the same except for a few minor changes. Yah

Έχεις τρελλαθεί τελείως treynich; Why so much hate against other christians? It's always the same with you guys: you hear "serbian orthodox" and you begin to attack, you hear "russian orthodox"and you begin to attack, you hear "protestants" and you say they are "Ιεχοβάδες", a.s.o. And, of course, you alone believe in the only true religion! You are so intolerant!... Reminds me of Middle Ages! No evolution at all!

@tboice The Greek Orthodox Church split off the Catholic Church in the early 300's A.D. We Greeks believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. What do you believe in?

To the lady in the video : why are you speaking like you're visiting a museum? The Orthodox Church is something sacred;
Museum voice? No, that's my reverent voice. All churches deserve respect. There were other people in the church and I didn't want to distract them.

Of course! The "Greek" part of this presentation was mentioned because the church was opened to the public during a local Greek festival, celebrating all things Greek. I'm so sorry if you were offended. I thought the "Greekness" was understood.

That's true, the Jewish religion today still uses incense at the end of every Shabat. I think it's really fascinating to study other religions and see which traditions and symbolism is held on to in their worship services today!

I don't belong to the Greek Orthodox Church, so I can't officially answer that question with certainty. While I was on the tour the leader of their church told us about some of their doctrine which sounded similar to Catholic dogma.
