Very cool that Chicago blues giants are known and admired in Indonesia. I dig Cotton. It's a shame that Walter got murdered in 1968 at the age of 38, before he could have the luxury of recording songs longer than three minutes. He would have blown us all away. Literally.
The Song "Off the Wall" was written by Marion Walter Jacobs aka Little Walter. He wrote it. It is one of his most famous instrumentals and one of his biggest hits.
I heard from someone that knows him that he used to play pucker for years, then switched to tongue block and basically relearnt to play.hope this helps.
This is straight up Little Walter styled Chicago Blues Harp done with some new ideas. I most dig Rick doing Sonny Boy II styled harp, e.g., I'll Never Do That No More". But please, to your ear, who would you say are the 10 greatest white amplified blues harp players so far to have recorded?

Thanks for the correction. Cotton is the oldest blues harp CD i could find out here in Indonesia. That's where I first heard it.
