@PlayIt4MeAgainSam As you say, a lovely actress. Personally, I think that she would have been better than Ingrid Bergman in "Casablanca". She could play anything, as can be seen in "Quai des Brumes", "Symphonie Pastorale" and "Les Grandes Manoeuvres". What might have been unusual would have been Danielle Darrieux! She could have given Humphrey Bogart a run for his money.

Michèle Morgan has been a wonderful actress. A leading lady at the age of 18, opposite the great French actor Jean Gabin, in ‘Le Quai des brumes’; she has had a terrific career in France. In Hollywood, career which included such leading men as Sinatra, Henreid & Bogart. I sometimes have wondered just how different ‘Casablanca’ would have been if she been cast.
