@red0ubtable I have had only one slamfire in my 37 years of shooting 1911s. In 1976 I bought an early Colt Commander, took it to the range and the first round fired happened after the slide was released. I bought this from a private party whom I contacted immediatly as you might imagine. Never happened again.
