Este performance se presentó alrededor de 1944 y fue muy novedoso en ese entonces. Escuchen cómo el presentador informa a la audiencia que pueden reír si se sienten asombrados, les dicta una forma de reaccionar ante lo que no conocen, de otra manera quizá no hubieran sabido si debían callar, aplaudir o disfrutar. ¿Te has preguntado si también la risa puede ser condicionada?

me gusta que la gente se ría, que reaccione ante la obra de arte ¿Cuál es el problema? el arte causa placer y displacer, horror y bienestar. Me encanta Cage, me parece super simpático y no por eso le estoy faltando el respeto. Silencio no sólo significa respeto, también aburrimiento y desinterés.

I think the presenter was wrong when he implied that only those who didn't like it would laugh at it. I thought it was brilliantly fascinating, and I laughed. I'm sure Cage did, too.
