INMO this concert for Beatrix has some of Gheorghiu's best work on the net. thanks for downloading!
just heard her sing "Adriana Lecouvreur" with Kaufmann last night at Carnegie Hall in NYC - she was electrifying and brought down the house. They say Solti cried for joy when he first heard her ("this girl can do everything!"). I can understand why!

I don't normally care for her, but unlike Netrebko (who I think is being overhyped and doesn't live up to the hype for me), Angela is the real deal. She's got a gorgeous voice and she's beautiful and she sings without the pretentiousness of someone like Renee Fleming. I just wish that Angela would actually show up to rehearsals and/or performances. She's developing a bad rep.
