C-17 Globemaster Demonstration
62nd Airlift Wing, McChord AFB

2000 McGuire AFB Open House & Airshow
McGuire AFB, NJ
Saturday June 3, 2000

IN THIS VIDEO, watch as this C-17 uses reverse thrust to back out from its static display parking spot in order to fly a demonstration over McGuire AFB.

If you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft or of airshows, interested in everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will be, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), and/or everything related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please check out Steve's Airshow World at www.stevesairshow.com .

  • gorgeous but still not the C-5

  • at mcchord thers a c-17 from McGuire

  • C17's are one of my favorite planes. We have a bunch at McChord AFB near where I live. If Boeing/MD can make a cargo plane this good, imaging what their new tanker will be like!

  • i do not, i will find out though

  • you should enjoy it. Do you know which base is flying it?

  • cool. Ill see the C-17 Demo for the first time at Langley AFB this year.

  • Oh, I understand. We actually did it a few weeks ago at an airshow in Watsonville Ca on May 25th. We backed up near the crowd.

  • I was talking more about if a C-17 was in that close proximity to the crowd, if they would still use reverse thrust.

  • We do it on a daily basis.

  • Wow, love the reverse thrust. They proably wouldent do that now, for safety reasons. Thanks for uploading
