There is this big fuss that the children of Israel were given the covenant from the OT and now the Christians have a new covenant which doesn't involve the commandments of God

If you are Abraham's seed by faith, you too are adopted into the children of Israel.

No other gospels mention the flight into Egypt, and it probably never happened—Matthew probably inserted it to reinforce the parallels between Jesus and Israel. Matthew adapted the entire gospel story to suit his particular agenda. I doubt that Matthew meant to lie; he probably thought it a metaphor that his audience (Jews) would immediately recognise. Asscherick thinks he's got a discovery, but all that has happened it that Matthew is leading Asscherick by the nose.

Ok so all gentiles are lost then in that case and God lied because He is a respector of persons. Lets end it here because we seem to be going nowhere. You seem to be stuck in the old testament when you neglect the New which shows salvation for the gentiles being part of the olive tree.
