@manwithcam15 We do have better weapons. We have a far superior navy and airforce as well. Which would be the two branches of the military that would have the most to do with stopping an initial invasion. They whole question is a little silly though because theres no evidence it would or even could happen. look how much it took to invade france across a couple of miles of water. imagine how hard it would be to do the same thing across an entire ocean that leaves you totally exposed.

Try reading Andrew Wiest. He was my history professor at Southern Miss and has a book called war in the age of technology. I think you would really like it and would be a great resource for you.

you dont have the beginning of WW2 quite right. The biggest reason is that the versaille thing put Germany in a very awkward position. Whole of germany felt supressed by this. And hitler used this to his advantage.

So you could say its just an extension of ww1. 1)Germany was defeated. 2)heavy restrictions on germany. 3)Germans pissed off. 4) Hitler uses this and takes germany into WW2

Another point I wanted to add is that if war is a natural part of life , There would be no need for a draft and there would be no need for the government to collude with the media to make propangada films demonizing thier government selected enemy. The reason why there might have been so many men during world war 2 voluntunreeing to signed up for war is because if they waited until they got drafted , then they know that the likely place that they would in up if drafted would be in the battle.

Most americans had a literacy rate at 100 percent in the 19th and 18th century in the united states, WAY before compulsory schooling was introduced in the united states.. If you want to know more about the history of copulsory schooling in the united states , apparently knowledge that you compltely lack, you should pick up John taylor gatto's book titled the history of underground education
