  • Art sounds so happy with himself here. Blows a classic solo, then at

1:55 casually asks the sound man, 'Did you get it set up Dave ?" "...Yeah. "

    Knocks me out.

  • @padleynj I made my deduction based only on the photograph of Pepper on the CD cover. It's the most unflattering picture I've ever seen of Pepper. I deduce then that it must have been the electric piano. Another one of my deductions corrected by a fact. Thanks for the information.

  • @adeduction First time pepper went to prison was in 1956..then back-and-forth for about 7 years.

  • this goes like a train.wat a group of talented guys.art and hamp together waat a combination .great stuff.

  • What a cooker! Cookin' line-up! Hampton Hawes Larry Bunker Joe Mondragon!! Thought Pepper's 'Living Legend' album recorded in '75 with rhythm section of Hawes & Shelly Manne would be a cooker cause of Hawes & Manne but it isnt even half as exciting! I believe Pepper had just got out of spending years in prison. And Hawes playes electric piano cause it was '75. This is a great recording. Thanks for sharing.
