on IDE configuration i have only 2 options...IDE master and IDE slave..i can`t find the configuration SATA as...
Note: i have a 4gb HDD notebook...cand that effect the option??

I've got Eee PC 1015B and I always wanted to install Windows XP on int, but I failed every time... Thank you for this tutorial! Now I have Windows XP Professional on it and 2 GB of ram, it's working perfect :))

Ok I have tried with 7starter...here it stucks at some dumb "setup is updating registry settings" screen...i cannot belive im actually gonna pay someone to install me goddamn os to stupid computer after all this years...:((

Hey dude Im trying to install freaking xp to my asus eeepc netbook and just can not do it!
It always hangs at the second part - installing devices...progress bar stops and computer completly freezes I ve tried it couple of times with different kinds of xp installations(cd's)
The same thing happens every freaking time and I cannot finish setup (second part of it)...please help me if you can...should I try with win7starter or something??...or throw the goddamn thing trough the window..:)

what is battery life on your 1001px? on my it's only 2 hrs :(( in manual i read it must be 4.5 :(

@lkuliashvili I'm not sure since I never let the netbook run off the battery, it was always plugged in 24/7 to my solar power system.
