Dr. Barney Old Coyote has led a life of accomplishment.
The crow tribal member helped establish the Native American Studies program at Montana State University and was later a professor there.
He was the first President of the American Indian National Bank.
U.S. President Lyndon Johnson appointed him as a special assistant to the Secretary of the Interior.
Before all of that, Barney Old Coyote became the most decorated American Indian who fought in the second World War.
