For years, the dusty Eastern Oregon town of Hermiston was mostly known for its potato storage depots, lying in the heart of prime potato-growing country (think McDonald's french fries, here). Then, along came WalMart and a large distribution center for the Pacific Northwest.

Cool. I'm going there this June. My grandma and LOTS of relatives live there. She lives in a dream house and is a multi-millionaire. I can't wait to get out of the island! :)
