Another in the ongoing series of Kitelife Magazine tutorials for using Revolution quad line kites, this one detailing how to do maintain a hover in 7 basic orientations.

Once you're able to hold a hover with some degree of stability, the sky is yours because you can now stop in any position, and even control your speed when necessary.

You can look forward to a growing collection of similar tutorials covering equipment, flight techniques and other "pro secrets" gathered from over 20 years in the kiting community... A number of them will be available here on YouTube, while the majority of these tutorials will be located in the Kitelife Subscribers section, be sure to subscribe today if you like what we're doing here!

  • ohhhh spanish. Than you very much my friend :) muchas gracias

  • @Urikai1 : De nada! :)

  • whats a good first quad line kite to get?

  • @dilliot2k : I don't think there is ANYTHING better than a Revolution, at least that's my personal experience over 20 years... What you see me flying is the B-Series by Revolution, easily found with a little Google searching... For help with choosing a model, I'd suggest a visit to the Revolution forum ( revkites dot com / forum ) - lots of friendly folks there, all happy to answer questions.

  • what size kite are you using?

  • @jazzbunney2233 : This is the B-Series Pro, it's a mid-size kite at about 7+ feet... The Zen is roughly 9 foot wingspan, the Rev II (and soon the B-2) is closer to 6 feet.

  • Thanks, John!

  • beautiful control. I suck at my kite.

  • Hungarian subtitles added, thanks to Zsolt Erdei!

  • i'm looking to buy one of these kites, although, these videos are really useful, but on a dual line kite you pull right to turn right. On here i can see he is pulling left to turn the kite right... Can anyone send me a message to say why or am i just being really really stupid??? :S Thanks anyway :)
