I had the delight of covering the park on snowmobile on two occasions back in the day when no guide was required. Also had cross country ski's attached to snowmobile for some choice stops. The thermal's steam with deer nearby drinking from streams, buffalo crossing the river, frozen waterfalls, and the winter wonderland all around is an experience I will treasure forever. Didn't have a digital camera back then.
