Scandalous S1 E7 (Part 1)

I listened to Ava blab on and on about nothing, literally. She's only 5 months old. But the sounds she made were always beautiful baby sounds and althought it hurt so badly to not be with her, it warmed my heart knowing she was happy.
EM: "Hey, sweetie. It looks like Avie got distracted by my necklace. *moves the phone away*Ouch, Ava that's Nonna's not yours, no pulling."
[A/N: Nonna, pronounced: "No-nuh" is italian for Grandma, it's what my nephew calls my Mom because Grandma didn't seem appropriate seeing as she was only 42 when he was born. And we're Italian (:]
Ellie: "I'm sorry if she's being any trouble to you, Mom."
EM: "Don't say that, I love having her around."
Ellie: "I miss her so much, I want to come home."
EM: "Baby, this is for the best. This way you can finish high school. You're very lucky things turned out the way they did."
Ellie: "Mom, how am I lucky? She hasn't a clue who her father is, I want him to meet her."
EM: "Eleanor, not another word about that, you know he wouldn't be ready."
Ellie: "How do we know if he doesn't try?"
EM: "You don't even know where he is, and what if he tried and it didn't work. She's 5 months old, Ellie what if she got attached, or YOU got attatched, and he left because he wasn't ready to be a father?"
Ellie: "Mom I know where he is."
EM: "You called him without telling me?!"
Ellie: "Mother, even if I did i'm not a baby anymore, I don't need your permission. But no, I didn't call him. He GOES to school here."
EM: "WHAT?! You're going to live with your grandparents."
Ellie: "Mom, I want to come home to see Ava. But if i'm leaving here i'm sure as hell not moving in with them."
EM: "You're going to crack and tell him, I just know it."
Ellie: "I will not."
EM: "Don't do that to your daughter, Ellie."
Ellie: "Do what?! Noah is her father, Mom! She deserves the right to meet him, and he deserves the right to know about her. He didn't do anything wrong, I broke up with him because we were always away from each other and I knew he couldn't stay in Jersey. But i'm with him now."
EM: "You're what?!"
Ellie: "No, not like that. I ran into him and we made up, we're friends now. Just friends." That hurt to say out loud. Me and the father of my baby whom he doesn't know exists, are just friends. "I have to go to class, Mom. Tell Ava I love her and i'll call you tonight." I hung up, relieved to be off the phone with her. I know she wants the best for me but she drives me bonkers sometimes. I turned and saw Dani walking down the stairs with a silly grin plastered on her face.
Ellie:"What are you so smiley about?"
Dani: "Nothing...just got a hot date tonight." She winked at me and headed for the door. I followed after her.
Ellie: "Who?"
Dani: "No one you know."
Ellie: "It's Evan, isn't it?"
Dani: She turned bright red. "No."
Ellie: "Who is it?"
Dani: "This guy, he's a total sweetheart and he makes me laugh and he opens doors for me and..."
Ellie: "Aw, look at you. You're completely smitten, it's Evan. I know it."
Dani: "Okay, okay. It is."
Ellie: "What are you two doing?"
Dani: "Going down to the lounge to watch a movie."
Ellie: "Oh Danielle..."
Dani: "What?"
Ellie: "How long have you two known each other?"
Dani: "Since we were kids, why?"
Ellie: That poor girl. "And you've been bestfriends forever, right?"
Dani: "Mhmm."
Ellie: "It's not a date, hun." Her face dropped. "But I can show you how to make it one."
Dani: "What?"
Ellie: "I'll make you totally irrestiable."
Dani: "Really?"
Ellie: "Ya. How long have you been head over heels for him?"
Dani: "I'm not in love with him!"
Ellie: "I never said you were, but you just did."

(10 minutes later at their lockers which are right beside each other)
Dani: "Am not."
Ellie: "Are too."
Dani: "Am not."
Evan: *comes up and leans against Dani's locker, slamming it shut*"Are too."
Dani: *turns bright red*"You don't even know what we're talking about."
Evan: "So what do you want to watch tonight?"
Ellie: "I'll catch you guys later."
Dani: "Okay, bye E."
Evan: "See ya."
Dani: *"Titanic."
Evan: "No way, we always watch that."
Dani: *laughs*"And you've chosen it every time."
Evan: *blushes*"Have not!"
Dani: "Whatever you say, Ev, whatever you say. I gotta go to calc, i'll see ya later."
Evan: *rolls his eyes playfully*"Bye, Danielle."
