Program notes:
A programmatic work for symphonic band inspired by tales
of Nordic mythology. The piece tells the story of Ragnarok, also known as the
Twilight of the Gods. An incredible war between the forces of good and evil is
fought, bringing about the end of the cosmos. After the destruction, a new and
idyllic world will arise and this new earth will be filled only with joy and
abundance. Out composer Steve Reineke is currently music director for the
New York Pops, principal pops conductor with the Long Beach Symphony
Orchestra and Modesto Symphony Orchestra, as well as associate conductor
with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.
I believe the conductor could have done a better job of directing low brass to blend with the band. they are so over powering.

My high school band played it better. Your low brass Ian at all together and the balance and blend is practically nonexistent, some key parts of the piece were totally covered up.
