cool trick for seating a bead is use a rachet strap around the center of the tire, tighten it and then hit the tire with a hammer to disperse the tension evenly, then slowly seat the bead and loosen the ratchet strap while you are doing it and it works, I've had to do it many times in Iraq and when doing field repairs when heavy equipment and tires without run-flats lose their seat.
