Nobody loves racing more than me and I grew up a half mile away from Gansett, and spent 3 winters at Hialeah,

BUT it is and was the people running the places they ultimately lead to their demise.

Gansett owed Pawtucket a half million in back taxes and the racing was no longer on the up and up.

Hialeah, the neighbor around the track ran down so that it was dangerous to go to the establishment.

Bay Meadows, the property was worth more than the racing.

Things change, the horses remain beautiful.
