The sounds of tribal drums and the wail of song echoed to the top of Great Blue Hill as The Order for the Preservation of Indian Culture gathered for the 31st annual pow wow at Prowse Farm in Canton.
Area Native Americans donned their best regalia for the weekend that was highlighted by traditional dances in honor of war veteran's, grass, and a succesful hunt.
More than 20 vendors sold handmade jewelry, medicine wheels, blankets, leather jackets, mocassins and children's toys.
Visitors had the opportunity to try buffalo burgers, marinated venison and a Native American favorite, fry bread.

Don's a good guy and a great dancer. I've been to these pow wows. Doesn't matter if this is 100% accurate to the traditions. Its spreading the words and traditions of a proud people. Its great to see so many people feel an interest in the original americans. Mitakuye Oyasin. We are all related. Doesn't matter if you're Native, White, Black, Hispanic or Asian, we are all people on this world and to involved oneself in another's culture is admirable. Don't hate.
