Standing on the beach before my first single ski, my dad told me to lean forward with my feet together while he held onto my life jacket. Then he let go and watched which foot i instinctively put forward to save from myself from a faceplant. That was to be my front foot, and it has been ever since. This technique seems to work well with all new skiers. Left or right handed seems to make no difference to which foot you ski with forward. My two cents worth..

@jarbas4006 Ok I did not type that right you got me lol. The end is the right way just your power leg should be in the front and your weak leg in the back. normally it depends if your right handed your right foot goes in the front if your left handed your left foot goes in the front boot.
