Jason isn't coming back. If you hadn't noticed Metallica sucked ass for the last while with Jason. Rob's there now and they fucking rock again. Be glad for that at least.

well.... if you remember from the movie "Some Kind of Monster" where Bob Rock said that he thought that they would never find a permanent bassist, that it would just be the three of them, i totally agree!! Maybe had the accident with Cliff not have happened. Rob may see the end of Metallica as a band, but if they were to play for another 25 or 30 years, i think we would see another bassist to replace Rob, but Portstar so eliquently put it, THEY ROCK AGAIN..... AMEN!!!!

no offense but i would have to disagree. I think that if Metallica thought they were gonna suck with Jason they wouldn't of asked him to be in the band. I mean Jason was a apart of the black album and look what that did for them, cause finally bass was implemented in the cd, where as in AJFA, bass was turned down completely. Skillfully he's not good as rob or cliff, but when it comes to a live show, Metallica put him in the spot, and he delivered. backup vocals haven't been the same with out him
