SUMO Tokyo Day 1 - Asashoryu v Baruto - September 13, 2009

2nd to last match from DAY ONE of sumo from Tokyo in the Aki Bashou.

Yokozuna Asashoryu takes on newly promoted komusubi Baruto, who had a decent 11-4 record in Nagoya in July, only two tournaments after having a mirror 4-11 record and getting demoted from the sanyaku ranks.
Asashoryu had a 10-5 record in July, one of the worst outings I've ever seen for the yokozuna where he didn't pull out of the tournament. Let's hope he can turn things around and fight hard in this bashou.

TV Japan is 25 bucks a month...dare I ask, is it more expensive than HBO??

I think it's about the same - I think HBO is maybe $30/month. The good thing about TV Japan is that I can cancel in October and then re-sign up for November, since I only really will watch during SUMO months.
