You arent of course under any obligation to like it. But yes, indeed, the cold hard reality is that this IS Unicron.Albeit In a different form.

But you also aren't obligated to use it as Unicron. Like I said, Use your imagination. Make it a soldier for Unicron. Cut off the horns, paint it up and make Bludgeon out of it.

But whatever you do don't turn up your nose to it. It's still a really nice figure and well worth owning.

That was in the original G1 cartoon continuity. In the series right after the movie it showed Unicrons head could still function as he ressurects Starscream to help him connect it to Cybertron.

In the UK G1 comic continuity Unicron's head still functioned and he tried to assimilate the Junkion planet into a new body

This Unicron figure is from the Armada/Energon/Cybertron continuity. After his destruction he reformed a new smaller body through force of will.

It's Unicron all right. It may not be the traditional version but it's Unicron. After his destruction in ENERGON he re-built himself into that mode.

Some folks have gotten two and used them as accolytes/heralds for the big Unicron.

It's a nice, solid figure.
