I feel your frustration. I bought a dayton heater and thought it was a good brand, Until I found out it was a shill company of graingers and they dont sell parts for the heater . I advice everyone stay away from dayton equipment its not a real company. The crazy thing about it is it would have only cost them a couple thousand bucks to offer the parts to all their customers.
