While I have zero support for those that post hateful messages aimed at you or your religion, please understand that your use of the DMCA to try and save face was in fact a dishonest act.

In 2007 Universal lost a lawsuit from someome that had to hire lawyers to get a video that made 'fair use' of their copyrighted material and had to pay damages.

It isn't a joke, and it is up to you to show it is beyond fair use, not Potholer to show it isn't. (Also stated in the verdict.)

@zippydebrain If you thought it was to "save face", or if you thought that I had considered it "a joke", you didn't watch the video properly. After my liaising with YouTube following their initial removal of the videos, they 'ruled' in my favour a few days ago and advised the videos would remain removed. Since it's YouTube's 'territory', I'd say they make the final decision on the matter; if you're unhappy with their decision, I would suggest you contact them directly.

I think that trying to sell a story of intelligent design or how a god created an Adam & Eve, and how arguing against how evidence shows that humans spawned from earlier ape forms 200,000 years ago, is absurd.

The problem I have with people that base their opinions purely on beliefs, is that those people can and will not consider information if that information contradicts or challenges their doctrine.

I just wanted to say that I'm a Christian and have no problem letting you know that I appreciate your videos and respect Muslims and other religions. Although we share different faiths, we're here on earth together living under the same umbrella of mutual respect. Yikes, people all around will post uneducated posts.

I've been following (but not commenting) on the saga between yourself & Potholer. I felt you were in the wrong to file the DMCA, but that issue aside - my respect for you & your faith has increased as a result of how you handled yourself. I congratulate you. You displayed honesty, courage and integrity. As a result you have done your faith a great service. I'm glad Peter has finally been successful in getting the video reinstated - but in the end I think you have BOTH emerged as winners in this.

Amenakin's comments above are somewhat ironic, saying that Youtube's final verdict was that Potholer's videos are allowed under the DMCA.

Glad that (for the most part, besides some misunderstanding about how youtube works, both parties were able to conduct themselves professionally though

Both parties have shown a level humbleness, grace, and intelligence which is hard to find these days. I commend you both. I would love to see politicians with the same values here In Britain. I think it would help to unite our disconnected society as the two of you united in this cause today.

I like this video a great deal. With all the drama, hate-mongering and intolerance on YouTube; it's nice to not only see who disagreeing parties come together respectfully, but also to take a stand against the aforementioned nastiness that has plagued this website.

This video gives me hope for humanity.
