ViewSonic G-Tablet Review

Update: I no longer have this tablet so unfortunately I won't be able to answer any questions regarding it. XDA has plenty of info about this tablet though so if you have a specific question or want to find the newest tweaks for the device, your best bet would be XDA.

Here's my mini review of the ViewSonic G-Tablet NOT the ViewPad 10. I've managed to sideload Slide Me Market on it and a few other applications like ADW. Launcher. If you Have Questions let me know I'l try to answer them when I have a chance, Also I'll try to post some clearer pictures of the thing soon. You can buy this at your Local Sears for around 380$ before Sears Card 5%

UPDATE: I now have it hacked and rooted thanks to R34p3rex over at xda and will post a video of it later tonight probably.

This video was shot with my Looxcie camcorder, not the best resolution but great for freeing up the hands.

@mkashiff1 It's the viewfinder for the Looxcie camera I was using so I was trying to check what I was looking at was actually being seen by the camcorder. Newer reviews are better quality such as the DVP review I posted last night. Thanks though!

I'm gonna start by saying I really enjoyed the review. I do believe however you need work on your execution. I think you have important information in your review that people will run over because of how it is presented. If you take the time to focus on it more and adjust little things such as not messing with your phone ever minute or so I think you'd have a fantastic video. Just something to think about. You could get more views with a little polish. I'd love to see you get more views. -Adam

@Metzhara Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it. This was kind of a rush job, for some reason no one believed I actually owned this device at the time. Next review will be shot with a tripod in 1080p via a Sony A33 DSLT and edited with software to give it a nice polished look :D Probably will do the Dell Venue Pro or something next.

@NatePride did you try to install flash 10.1 from market or from side load? because i couldnt get the sideload to install on my HTC desire it had to come from the market, and can it be charged through the mini USB slot?

according to viewsonic the gtablet will not be getting no future os upgrade to it, even though it well capable of it, they not taking it futher according to there discussion on their facebook page. also if you use custom rom you will void warranty but they have the custom dev link on their website. now if you not going to be putting no future os upgrade the gtablet why get upset if some does it and void the warranty it like saying you upgrade your cpu from xp to win7 void warranty.

just for the record in the beginning when the gtablet came out there was no update but now viewsonic has a update for it when you are connected by wifi. also it does support flash when you update with the update that viewsonic sent to it. also alot of you going to be looking quit silly because while you treaking the device, viewsonic is going to have official gingerbread and honeycomb officially updated for the device. you are loosing your waranty by treaking it.

Bought my gtab during the winter, so I only recently took it outside in the mid afternoon.  It was a bit overcast and I was sitting in the shade, but even with the display brightness at max, I could barely see anything.
