  • Hi Allan and Lesley. Congrat's on making 'the big screen.' Excellent ! Only 74 videos more to complete....? PS maybe next time, no views of back of head + better lighting / angle of board with fewer shadows of hands + more views of palette & of brush & water cleaning/water pick-up ! Am easily satisfied !!!!!!! Very best wishes J.

  • Thanks for the tips, John. Yes, the sun can be a bl**dy nuisance, coming out just when you don't want it to. You sound a bit of an expert on camera work. Do you fancy popping over to France to demonstrate? You've given me some good pointers there - we really do appreciate it. Keep the suggestions coming. Lesley

  • No.... I am no expert on cameras or on anything else (and especially not on watercolour painting !!!!) but I do fancy a trip over to start to learn more about your watercolour skills & techniques ! Keep up the great work !!!

  • We still have a few spaces left for this summer, John. We'll show you many of the places you've painted in your Step by Steps. Can we tempt you?

  • This is awesome!! I agree... you did a great job with the ediitng. If time allows in your future videos, it would also be helpful to also see how you mix your colos on the pallet. Also, your accent is lovely, and very enjoyable. I had no trouble understanding you whatsoever! THANK YOU SO MUCH for making a video. It is always extremely helpful to see watercolor in live action, and to see the process of a painting... can't wait to see more!!

  • Thanks, Wendi and thank you all for such lovely comments and encouragement. Will definitely get a shot of the mixing on the palette next time.

  • Hi Allan, Congrats t you and Lesley for your first motion picture. You get an Emmy for art instruction. I've got a wall of your step-by-steps to prove it! BTW, your viewers should know you make it as easy as it looks.

  • Allan - great guidance! I can attest that by following Allan's step-by-steps that the results can be quite amazing - even for beginners such as myself. Very inspirational!
