Granada and Leon have been fierce political rivals. The Spanish founded Granada to mimic the southern Andalusian Spanish city of Granada and Leon to mimic the Gothic Leones Spanish City of Leon. Granada has been conservative (if I'm not mistaken) and Leon has been a liberal city. The capital of Nicaragua was transferred back and forth until they decided to create a new capital called Managua.

I'm from Nicaragua , I live in Managua to be exactly ! Granada is such a beatiful place ...I haven´t see those kids dancing so that means that I have to visit there more often , and for the next time don´t eat anything being served in those little fast food cars...it will always get you sick!
