This video shows an experiment that measures the time constant for the equalization of air pressure in a container. The volume of the container is one gallon (3.8 Liters) and the pinhole has a diameter of 1/32 inch (0.8 mm). The expected time constant is 0.003*Volume/Area, which is about 23 seconds in this case. The measured time constant is 1.9 seconds. Anybody know the reason for the difference?
