Yeah after major surgeries like this you always have to wait before you can eat. They want your bowels to move. First time they said they wanted me to pass gas I was like "what? What does that have to do with kidney?" haha but now I understand. I wanted to be able to drink right away and then when I could it was only clear fluids and gradually up to solid foods. Then because of the Prednisone I was on then I had to be on diet stuff. I was glad when they finally lowed the doses of the medication
