  • Wow, Kimberly Hunt! Babe, you even look great in a bulky helmet. Also, you maintained a beautiful smile & sparkly eyes.... now that takes GUTS! More than good looks though..... as always, you posted a great report that showed real respect for the pilot, his flying abilities, and the absolute raw power of the F-18 fighter aircraft. You are a great credit to the news media profession, and I'm proud of you as a San Diegan! Best Regards.

  • Big props to this reporter, she kicked serious ass, kept her composure, and had a smile on her face the entire time....and a damn pretty face too I might add.

  • @Graywulf06 you jelly?

  • she took 6 g's while maintaining a smile? either they cut off the ugly face parts or she's a pro.lol

  • @phatphuck1792 'But otherwise, regular fighter pilots wear g-suits?'

Yes. Missions are frequently four hours and the requirement is to (theoretically) be able to sustain 9Gs for 10 seconds. Pro athlete type conditioning. And you thought you had to be in shape to race!

  • @phatphuck1792 Yes they do.

  • Dammit I'm jealous

  • @phatphuck1792 Correct.

  • @MrSchrapnel Oh ok. But otherwise, regular fighter pilots wear g-suits?

  • @phatphuck1792 - The blues don't wear g-suits because they feel that they would hinder their precision flying. G-suits inflate a significant amount amount under high g, and since the stick is so close to the pilot's legs, they don't want anything getting in the way.
